One of the most beautiful lakes in the North Bay area is Lake Hennessey, also known as Conn Dam, located a few miles east off the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley. It's only about a half hour away from downtown Napa but it seems like a world away. This is a great spot to bring kids because it's a pretty safe place being that much of the shoreline stays shallow for a ways before it gets deep.
