Rohnert Park Kids Fishing Derby

This event, for kids 15 and under, is held at beautiful Roberts Lake, which is in the heart of Rohnert Park, right next to the freeway on Roberts Lake Road - between Golf Course Drive and Santa Rosa Avenue.
Many people don't even know this lake exists or that you can fish in it. It's a great place to bring kids to catch ther first fish. Put a piece of worm on a small hook underneath a bobber and toss it out about 8 feet. Usually within minutes a bluegill, a trout or maybe even a bass will hit it.
